What is LM393?
LM393 is a dual voltage comparator integrated circuit. The output load resistance can be connected to any power supply voltage within the allowable power supply voltage range, and is not limited by the voltage value of the Vcc terminal. This output can be used as a simple SPS open circuit to the ground (when the load resistance is not used), the trap current of the output part is limited by the possible drive and the β value of the device. When the limit current (16mA) is reached, the output transistor will exit and the output voltage will rise quickly.
What is LM339?
LM339 (four-way differential comparator) is equipped with four independent voltage comparators inside the voltage comparator chip. It is a common integrated circuit and is mainly used in high-voltage digital logic gate circuits. The use of lm339 can easily form a variety of voltage comparator circuits and oscillator circuits.
The difference between lm393 and lm339
LM393 is a low-power, low-offset voltage two comparator, and LM339 is a low-power, low-offset voltage four comparator. The two types of comparators have the same schematic diagram and the same functional parameters. The difference is that one is two and one is four.
1. lm339 common mode range is very large, from 0v to power supply voltage minus 1.5v; lm339n power supply voltage range is wide, single power supply is 2-36V, dual power supply voltage is plus or minus 1V-plus or minus 18V;
2. LM339 voltage comparator chip is equipped with four independent voltage comparators. LM339 is a very common integrated circuit. The use of lm339 can easily form a variety of voltage comparator circuits and oscillator circuits.
