Description
The MC33186DH is a H – Bridge motor driver. These monolithic H – Bridge is ideal for the DC motor having fractional horsepower and which consist of bi – directional thrust solenoid control. The device comes with almost all types of protection such as over temperature, Short-circuit, and over voltage protection. The IC works with help of the incorporated internal control logic, gate driver, charge pump, and having a low circuit of MOSFET output. The MC33186DH works on the nominal voltage up to 40V and is powered by the SMARTMOS technology. It is designed to control the maximum continuous DC load current of 5A. Also, the output load can be converted into a maximum PWM signal frequency of 10kHz.
The IC is manufactured in the surface mount power package also known as SMD with its pad exposed for the heat sinking process. The MC33186VW1 can be used as a replacement for this device. It comes in a package of 20 HSOP which is designed for the better thermal performance with the help of the copper plate on which the die is soldered and as we all know that copper is good conductor of heat it improves the thermal dissipation.

● The IC is packed with almost all kind of protection namely over temperature, short circuit protection and over voltage protection
● It offers a good output current of maximum 6.50 A having a tolerance of 20%
● For the output current over 8A it stops its working due to the short circuit protection inbuilt in it
● TTL /CMOS compatible
● Up to 20kHz of operating frequency
● With the help of a capacitor of minimum 47μF at VBAT pin, results into stable operation
● The below shown 2D dimension of the IC will help user while putting the component on the PCB or the perf board.
