Working:
The IGBT consists of three surfaces that are connected to three different metal parts, the metal signal gate is inserted into the semiconductors by a silicon dioxide (SIO2) layer. The IGBT is made up of 4 layers of semiconductor bonded together. The layer close to the collector is the p + substrate above the layer, the other p layer is kept close to the emitter and inside the p layer, we have the n + layer. The line between the p + n n layer is called junction J2 and the junction between layer and j1 is called J1 junction. The IGBT structure is shown in the figure below.
