The MCZ33972AEW is an SOIC, which is a surface mounted integrated circuits. The IC is a multiple switch detection interface coming with wake - up function. Generally, it is designed to discover the opening and the closing of the maximum 22 contacts of switches. Further, it sends the switch status (Open or Closed) to the microprocessor unit (MCU) with the help of a SPI ( Serial Peripheral Interface ). The device can read input as an analog using 22 to1 multiplexer. The MCZ33972AEW offers two modes for its working namely normal and sleep. Here, the normal mode deals with the programming task and sends switch contacts with either pull-up or pull-down current as it monitors switch changes its state.
While on the other hand the sleep mode provides low passive current, which makes the IC ideal for the automotive products which requires low sleep current.
