SKKT-106 is SEMIPACK 1, Thyristor / Diode Module with ceramic isolated aluminum oxide baseplate for heat transfer and hard soldered joints for high reliability. SKKT module has two Thyristor built in to one package. Module has transient thermal impedance properties and surge overload current handling capability. Module has 8 Pins / Terminals. Following are the characteristics for the module;
1- Peak Surge Reverse Voltage VRSM rated voltage is 1700V
2- VRRM is rated for 1600V
3- ITRMS is 180 A maximum value for continuous operation and ITAV is 106 A at case temperature of 85°C
4- Voltage Isolation for AC is 50 Hz; 3600 V r.m.s and 3000 V r.m.s for 1 min
5- Load Current maximum rating is 600A and typically 300 A at RG of 33 ohm
6- Maximum Power Dissipation 325 W for Current rating of 250A
7- ON Stage Voltage VT for 300 A current is maximum 1.65V
Typical use of SKKT Thyristor modules is in DC motor control for machine tool, cutters and drills. AC motor soft starters circuit also have these modules. Temperature Control for ovens, chemical processes also use Thyristor for control. Studio lights and professional lighting applications involving dimming and effects have Thyristor modules within their circuits.
