The NCP101X series integrates a fixed-frequency current-mode controller and a 700 V voltage MOSFET. Input Voltage Connection: Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of 3.0V to 42V. Connect the positive terminal of the input voltage source to the VIN pin and the negative terminal to GND.
Output Voltage Setup: The NCP1011AP065G provides a fixed output voltage of 5.0V. Connect the VOUT pin to your load, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum output current of 1.1A.
Heat Dissipation: Given the dropout voltage and maximum output current, ensure adequate heat dissipation or use a heatsink if operating near the upper limits of the device's capabilities.
Capacitor Selection: Use appropriate input and output capacitors to stabilize the voltage. Typically, a 1μF ceramic capacitor is recommended for both input and output.
PCB Layout Considerations: Keep the path between VIN and GND as short as possible to minimize noise. Place bypass capacitors close to the IC pins.
